Who we are

Trot Tk is a boutique software engineering practice headquartered at 33B Banker Town, Lahore, Pakistan. We provide custom software builds, workflow automation, and embedded engineering services to clients worldwide. References to "we," "us," or "Trot Tk" in this policy refer to Trot Tk and its team members.

Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to scope, deliver, and support our services. This includes:

• Contact information you provide (name, email, company) when reaching out via our contact form or booking a call.
• Project and business information shared during scoping calls or onboarding, including requirements, existing codebase access, and third-party credentials provided for the purpose of the engagement.
• Communication records — emails, messages, and call notes — related to your project.
• Basic usage data collected by our website infrastructure (page visits, browser type) through standard server logs. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or behavioural advertising cookies.

How we use your information

Information you share with us is used exclusively to:

• Respond to your enquiries and scope your project.
• Deliver the agreed engineering services.
• Send project updates, invoices, and relevant communications.
• Meet legal or contractual obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

Confidentiality and NDAs

We treat client information as confidential by default. We sign Non-Disclosure Agreements as a standard part of every engagement, and these are legally binding. Specifically:

• We never share your strategies, product designs, client data, or proprietary workflows without your explicit written consent.
• Any team member — employee or subcontractor — who breaches a confidentiality obligation is subject to immediate termination and legal action.
• Project details, technical architectures, and business information shared during an engagement are not disclosed externally, including in case studies or marketing materials, without your written approval.

Code and intellectual property ownership

All code, documentation, and deliverables produced during an engagement are your property. We do not retain copies, claim licences, or hold work hostage. Credentials and repository access provided to us during the engagement are returned or revoked at project close. This applies to all three engagement types: Build, Automate, and Engineer.

Data retention

We retain your data only for as long as required to fulfil the engagement and meet legal or contractual obligations. Project-related data is deleted securely when no longer needed. If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us at build@trottk.com and we will action your request promptly, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Third-party services

Our website and operations use a small number of third-party services, including hosting infrastructure and scheduling tools. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their service and are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not share personal data with third parties beyond what is required to operate.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Access to client project data is restricted to the team members directly working on the engagement.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, and object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at build@trottk.com We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we operate or to meet new legal requirements. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
